DLA Piper has advised Curipod AS, a leading Norway-based edutech company, on the successful completion of approximately USD 4.6 million Seed Series financing round at a USD 20 million pre-money valuation.

The funding was led by US-based Reach Capital, a venture capital firm that focuses on education companies, with additional contributions from Norwegian seed investor Sondo Captial and other venture capital firms and advisors.

Curipod leverages AI technology to transform the remote classroom experience, providing an interactive platform for both teachers and students, having several agreements with education institutes, both public and private, in Norway and the US. Currently, the company onboards 1.000 users every day.

The DLA Piper Oslo-based team was led by IPT partner Stig Nordal, Foreign Lead Lawyer Mariana Chapei, and Lead Lawyer Fredrik Finsås.

Stig Nordal commented: “We are proud and happy to help Curipod complete its Seed round, which demonstrates our continuous work with emerging growth companies in Norway. The funding will foster Curipod’s operations across the globe and allow for constant improvement of the software. This funding represents an increased interest from international investors in the Norwegian startup market.”
